The ’80s was an era in which style originated from the local galleria, which in turn took its cues from the primped and crimped day-glo looks of the personalities on MTV. For our purposes, the 1980s is the decade that spawned one of the most iconic models from Nike‘s archive. The Air Force 1 is celebrating its 30th birthday this year, and this glossy Downtown style seemingly pays tribute to the stylistic epoch in which it was born. Featuring a black patent leather vamp with hits of purple at the midsole and leather lining, the shoe takes the New Wave aesthetic one step farther with a zebra-print quarter
