While the Air Jordan 1 hasn’t been sticking to its OG self in 2013, it’s been busy doing quite the opposite with the mashup styles of the model that carry that yearly designation in their title. The Air Jordan 1 ’89 is the one of those that’s in current rotation, a sneaker that relies on the Air Jordan IV for a gang of upgrades as well as the colors selected. This time around the shoe borrows from the OG combination of white/cement, right down the speckling across the midsole. Available now at CONCRETE.

The last time we left the fictional Nike Space Program (NSP) at last year’s mid-season basketball weekend in Orlando, our heroes had successfully launched into space on a mission to elevate the game to a greater galaxy.

After a sudden Big Bang in Orlando, it has been months without contact as they disappeared into space. All hope is not lost, as a transmission has just been received at Area 72 — a top-secret facility isolated in the depths of the desert in Houston, Texas, home of this year’s mid-season showdown.

Continuing the extraterrestrial design inspiration established in the Nike Basketball collection for Houston, Nike Sportswear presents a top-secret collection of five shoes celebrating the best of basketball. Merging old-school models with new-age innovation, the premium collection includes the Nike Blazer Mid, Nike Vandal, Nike Lunar Force 1, Nike Barkley Posite Max and Nike Air Force Max 2013.

The collection celebrates the legacy of iconic Nike Basketball models of the past, now infused with galactic textures, reflectivity and glow-in-the-dark highlights. Developed deep within Area 72’s top-secret testing facility, the five-shoe collection features a custom galaxy print also featured on Nike Basketball’s performance shoes for Houston. The print appears on the collar lining of each shoe.

Since making its debut for Nike Basketball more than a decade ago, the Nike Raygun character is reincarnated on the tongue of each of these shoes. With its trademark jetpack and alien physique, the Raygun is ready to strike opponents with fury.

Available 15th of february, 2013 in very limited quantities at CONCRETE.

The Nike Air Apprentice is an archive basketball shoe similar to a Terminator or a Royal Mid. For this Quickstrike NSW release Nike push the boat out with premium leather (inside and outside) and some reflective (but tonal) parts. Details include a leather sock liner and perforated swoosh, embossed leather tongue label and large perf toebox. Accented with a luminous neon Phylon insert on the instep of the midsole. Making this limited QUICKSTRIKE sneaker the perfect sneaker-boot for fall if you’re considering a cleaner style

Acapulco Gold, A Sunny Place for Shady People.

Good things come to those who wait, and the wait is indeed finally over. For their Summer 2012 line, Acapulco Gold have pulled out all the stops and delivered one of their finest line-ups to date. Summer is a time when the t-shirt reigns above all and this season AG brings something for everyone. Next up is the Summer hat collection which continues to shine starting with the return of our fan favorite 69ers Snapback. Its been a long time comin’ for this one, and for those who missed it the first time around, this will be the last time they’ll offer this collectors piece, you can count on it. The Tropical Chambray Camp Cap uses imported Jacquarded fabric for a cap you won’t want to take off all season long. The Hampton 6 Panel snapback is your ticket into the world of the rich and shameless.

For the Cut and Sew line AG has those pieces that your friends will want when they see you wearing them. The 69ers Basketball Jersey has been put together using the best materials and embellishments so that you get a pro-quality piece of apparel. Custom Sublimated Tigerstripe Camo Pro-Mesh takes this piece to a whole other level and the Tackle Twill 69er’s logo finishes it all off. Made in the USA construction means that top to bottom this is one piece that will be gone before you know it.

Next up is the AG Utility Flight Short. Made from imported Herringbone Cotton Twill, the lightweight Camo fabric has a luxurious feel all its own. Continuing with Made in the USA craftmanship, these shorts are built to fit and tough as shit, ensuring they will be worn all Summer long. Front Flight pockets are great for stowing extra stuff, while reinforcements include pocket flaps, bar-tacking, and seat patch.
