NIKE ROSHE RUN METRIC RELEASE

metric

The Roshe Run may be one of Nike‘s simplest silhouettes, but the popular lifestyle sneaker has released this year in a head-spinning variety of colors and forms. The latest in a flurry of Roshe drops comes in the form of the Nike Roshe Run Metric – a fragmented, geometric version of the minimalist shoe. With blacked-out uppers in a cracked, mosaic tile-like makeup, the Metric turns the Roshe Run’s simple lines into a finely detailed, almost futuristic pair of kicks. The rest of the silhouette is a little more familiar — a standard black sole complete with Nike’s much-loved Solarsoft cushioning, a setup that should provide the all-day comfort. Look for the Nike Roshe Run Metric at CONCRETE on the 4th of May (Papestraat, The Hague & Spuistraat, A’dam. There might be a slight chance A’dam will receive these a day later).

The Nike Free Inneva Woven has quickly become one of the more sophisticated favorites to come out on the sneaker market in recent. After some more subtle drops in the past the sneaker returns for Summer 2013 in an exclusive black/poison green version. The Inneva Woven comes with a black/green woven upper and matching green laces and leather lining. The thin Free 5.0 outer sole is a great look for the summer months.

Designed to mimic the natural biomechanics of the foot, the Nike Free Inneva Woven offers a sense of natural motion that is both flexible and comfortable. Thanks to its hand-woven upper, a dynamic lacing system, and an intricate 360-degree hand-woven system, the laces interconnect with nylon webbing to create a complex pattern that forms the upper precisely to the foot.

NIKE BLACK HISTORY MONTH COLLECTION

BHM NIKE

Black History Month represents many things: civic leadership, social stewardship, community activation and much more.

Nike recognizes the importance of this meaningful month with not only a product collection, but a larger recognition of the power of sports to impact society. The 2013 Nike Black History Month Collection mantra “Be Bold. Be True.” celebrates three athletes who are fearless in action and fueled by a purpose.

Now more than ever, athletes at all levels have a unique ability to extend their voice beyond sports. Soccer superstar Didier Drogba, tennis legend Serena Williams and basketball phenom Kevin Durant provide creative inspiration for the product collection based on their commitment to giving back to their communities.

All three athletes are celebrated in this year’s collection; each has an individual logo. Drogba’s is a light bulb morphed with a soccer ball, representing his ongoing involvement in bringing solar light bulbs to impoverished areas in Africa. Williams’ icon consists of a tennis ball emanating with lightning bolts, showing how she empowers young women, especially through the secondary school she helped build in Kenya. Durant’s icon represents the hopes and dreams of young athletes, with a basketball hoop merging with a cloud formation, a nod to the support he has given to his hometown recreation center in Seat Pleasant, Maryland, a place he attributes for helping him realize his own dreams. The three icons are infused into a distinct Nike BHM print pattern that appears throughout the collection.

Nike Sportswear BHM shoes include the Nike Lunar Force 1, Nike Air Force 1 Foamposite Hi, Nike Dunk Sky Hi and Nike Air Force 1 Downtown.

In keeping with a tradition of honoring organizations that give back and inspire youth, NIKE, Inc. will make a financial contribution to Big Brothers Big Sisters of America with proceeds from the Nike BHM Collection.

SPECIAL JORDAN XI ‘BRED’ RELEASE TONIGHT AT 00:00

leave a comment »

XI

Tonight at exactly 00:00, we will be releasing the JORDAN XI ‘BRED’ at the CONCRETE store, Schoolstraat, The Hague.

Sixteen years ago when Tinker Hatfield produced one of the most cherished of all Air Jordan designs, for what happened to be the greatest team effort in NBA history. Michael Jordan’s return to dominance was punctuated by a fourth Championship won in this ‘Bred’ Air Jordan XI, a masterpiece whose influence cannot be overstated; a celebrated Retro release in 2001, a surprising ‘package’ delivery in 2008, and another singular re-issue tonight quickly summarizes the Bred XI’s journey to store shelves, we feel that the Air Jordan XI ‘Bred’ just might be the greatest of all-time.
