Acronym launches a new short film for the brand’s Spring/Summer 2011 season, produced in association with frequent collaborator Ken-Tonio Yamamoto. Following much of the same tech-centric approach, the piece highlights arguably the industry’s most acclaimed technical performance brand and its designer Errolson Hugh. Stay tuned for a further look into the campaign in the coming days. The S/S’11 collection is being shipped right now and should hit Concrete somewhere in the coming weeks.

After sharing a look at the new Stussy collection for this spring last month (check here), Concrete is now happy to announce that the collection has just hit the store. Above is a look into this collection by the brand’s Las Vegas chapter, the cliche sights of The Strip are somewhat refreshingly absent, instead the backdrop focuses on some of the more urban settings. Collection-wise, it’s a continuation of staples from Stussy including a strong focus on graphic T-shirts. This collection is available now at Concrete.

INTRODUCING: ALIFE FOOTWEAR @ CONCRETE

leave a comment »

Some of the sharper ones might have been noticing a band of NYC creatives sneaking into Concrete. First to drop was the Alife be@rbrick, to be followed quickly by the Alife x Casio G-Shock collab (which were both soldout over night on alifenyc.com) . But today Alife‘s presence in Concrete gets shifted into a higher gear with the release of their full footwear collection. Good, sturdy, clean kicks with a mature touch in the materials, beautiful shapes and a no-nonsense approach to their colour-schemes, these are sure to keep you fresh all summer long. Straight from the streets of New York into your local Concrete, pick yours up today.

Alife is a lifestyle concept based on and in downtown New York City. It is focused on art and creativity with a strong penchant for originality, even if that means stealing it. Alife’s mission is to showcase, elevate and perpetuate the downtown culture from which it is born. Alife cannot be defined by one cultural movement alone. Alife is art. THE SOURCE OF ART IS IN THE LIFE OF A PEOPLE.

Nice crewneck sweaters with leather elbow patches are complemented with camouflage hoodies, sweat jackets with leather details and a nice line-up of basic tops. ONTOUR S/S’11 LOOKBOOK “TIME TRAVEL BUREAU”

leave a comment »

Dutch brand OnTour has started a new endeavor, as their collection are looking better and better every season, OnTour felt it was time for a new challenge.
Multiple options were contemplated but none could truly raise the bar enough to the level that OnTour is aspiring to. Just about everything is done, redone and overdone these days. Collaborations are meaningless and just about anyone is importing from either the chilly hills of Scandinavia or from the grimey streetwear utopias of Asia. But one place remains untouched, a place where no brand before has voyaged: The Future.
OnTour has boldly gone where no brand before them went and imported their current spring collection from their own head-office in 2174. A big part of this collection is now available at Concrete.

PS: a little message from OnTour: “Marty McFly said hi!”
