STAPLE DESIGN x ADFUNTURE PRESENT: ‘BELLATOR COLUMBIDAE’

leave a comment »

New from Staple Design comes a physical manifestation of their popular and pugnacious fowl character. Bellator Columbidae literally means “fighting pigeon” in Latin, and an angry big guy he is indeed. Created in collaboration with toy-makers extraordinaire Adfunture Workshop, this figurine is so large (nearly a foot tall) that he has to be stabilized by his extensive tail feathers. Accessorized with his own fitted cap, Bellator Columbidae is limited to 100 pieces and is available now at CONCRETE.

TOY WAR BETWEEN FATHER & SON

leave a comment »

Remember when you could still spend days enjoying yourselves with little green plastic soldiers who can’t do jack, from an outsiders point of view it probably didn’t look all that impressive. But to us, it was real and that was all that mattered. Flying tanks, godzilla dogs and giant babies with laser eyes, it was all good. Now this father and son have recreated one of these battles, but as seen through the eyes of your 6 year old self. Sit back, enjoy the movie and spend the rest of the day reminiscing the good ol’days.

Medicom Toy has released two be@rbricks in 100%, to celebrate Valentine’s day 2011. One inspired by chocolate and the other

Two special editions of Be@rbrick have been released for Valentine’s Day, 2011.
One Valentine’s edition is covered in chocolate, a dripping chocolate print. It has a Happy Valentine Heart on its chest, that looks like a sticker and is about to peel off. On its back, it says “Happy Valentine’s Day 2011″ in calligraphy writing.

The other seems to be a contrasting version of last years Valentine’s Be@rbrick, sporting an all-over pink heart print on a GID body.

Get ready to see these arrive at Concrete any day now
