WESC X THE OPPOSITES

The Swedish brand WeSC (WeAreTheSuperlativeConspiracy) and Dutch duo The Opposites have joined forces in a great first collaboration. The collaboration is a collection consisting of a denim shirt, denim jacket, basic t-shirt and chinos.

This collaboration has been inspired by The Opposites their new album ‘Slapeloze Nachten’ (Sleepless Nights). Befriended graphic designer Vincent van de Waal is responsible for the artwork on the cover of the album and the prints on the clothing. He found his inspiration in tattoos, skulls, stilettos and butterflies. A simple, but yet outspoken collection. This amazing collaboration looks really cool and is a must have, especially if you’re a Opposites fan. Now available at CONCRETE.

THE RZA x WeSC PRESENT: CHAMBERS PREMIUM HEADPHONES

Back in the summer, the word was released that hip-hop legend RZA was working together with WeSC to design their upcoming collaborative headphone project.

Today, WeSC alongside the iconic Wu-Tang member introduce the Chambers by RZA headphone collection. The refined headphones are made available via the RZA Premium headphones and over-the-ear noise cancelling model – as well as the RZA Street, which offers the wearer a slimmed-down on-ear experience. Setting the collection apart from its peers, both Chambers by RZA models make use of an innovative music sharing function enabling users to connect and share their music experience. These musical majesties will be available at CONCRETE and should be arriving around the second week of December.

WeSC x FATSARAZZI CAPSULE COLLECTION

Fashion mastermind Fats Shariff aka Fatsarazzi has teamed up with streetwear label WeSC to create a capsule collection for Fall 2011 and with jackets, chinos, shirts, tees and even a waistcoat there’s a lot to go with in this small collection. One of the coolest pieces being the denim overall with tapered leg just epitomises utilitarian cool. Like any collaboration it’s a great way to double your audience and consumer base but it’s always important to see the relationship in the product otherwise it just becomes someone’s stamp on another label. Here you can truly see Fats’ personal style fused with the laidback design aesthetic of the WeSC brand and that’s what makes this one worth knowing about. The WeSC Woman for Fall 2011 is about being rock solid, romantic and herself. It’s being either one
of the contrasts presented – the soft, light and feminine and the harder, darker and more structured –
or combine them and be the person you are/want to be/should be. The collection focuses on three
different colour stories and three different aspects of life; life after skate, social responsibility and

The WeSC man for Spring 2011 is life after skate, socially responsible and creative. The many faces
of the blues, the army and naturals, and the bright and colourful brings the relaxed, yet hot, men of
the world together. Inspired but the old american classics, skateboarding and that thing you love, the
collection uses a mix of different materials to add structures and personality to the garments. It’s

WESC SPRING 2011 PREVIEW

The WeSC Spring 2011 Collection is about differences – the differences that eventually brings people and places together. It’s the fusions between opposites that are highlighted – the hard and soft, the strong
and romatic, the fun and the structures. These are the influences for the collection that is presented: it’s a
clash between the romantic and the harder, workwear and voiles.

Heritage materials such as denim are used in its originality but also in re-worked and updated versions,
complementing oxford and chambrays, thin 110 gr cotton, fine knits and more structured garments.
Army green, a wide spectrum of blues, from chambray and oxford blues to teal and navy to purple,
mixed shades of white – these are the colours that run through the theme and different pieces in the
collection, complementing the fabrics and shapes in a timeless manner.

The spring sure looks good!
